카카오페이는 디지털 금융 사각지대 해소를 위한 교육 지원 프로그램 '사각사각 페이스쿨' 시니어클래스의 디지털 금융 강사 '페이티처' 1기 발대식을 개최했다고 10일 밝혔다.

카카오페이가 카카오임팩트·시니어금융교육협의회와 함께 디지털 문법에 익숙하지 않아 새로운 금융 서비스 이용이 어려운 50대 이상 고령층을 위해 교육을 지원하는 상생 프로그램이다.

지난해 11월 5060 세대를 대상으로 한 달간 시범운영한 '모두를 위한 디지털 금융교육'을 바탕으로 개발됐으며,올해부터 강사양성 과정과 정규교육 과정으로 확대 운영하고 있다.

정규교육 과정을 이끄는 '페이티처'는 8주 간의 강사 양성 과정을 수료하고 강의 시연 평가를 거쳐 선발됐다.서울지역 50플러스센터 및 분당노인종합복지관 등 13개 센터에서 266명에게 교육을 제공한 뒤 지역별 4명씩 총 52명을 페이티처 1기로 선발했다.

페이티처는 오는 18일부터 두 달간 지역사회복지기관 25곳 이상과 연계해 '사각사각 페이스쿨' 시니어클래스 정규교육과정 및 소그룹 교육에 출강하며 본격적인 활동을 시작한다.시니어의 눈높이에서 디지털 금융 서비스 활용을 위한 실습,푸에고네그로금융사기 예방법 등을 교육하게 된다.

카카오페이는 하반기에도 페이티처 2기 강사양성 과정을 운영하는 한편,'사각사각 페이스쿨' 교육 지역도 확대해나갈 방침이다.
