[광주=뉴시스]김혜인 기자 = '이건희 컬렉션' 중 파블로 피카소의 도예 작품을 소개하는 전시가 광주에서 열린다.

국립아시아문화전당(ACC)은 오는 16일부터 9월 29일까지 ACC복합전시 4관에서 MMCA 이건희컬렉션 '피카소 도예'전시를 연다고 11일 밝혔다.

피카소 도예 작품은 지난 2021년 고(故) 이건희 삼성 회장 유족이 국립현대미술관에 기증한 도자 112점 중 107점이다.

이번 전시에서는 피카소 도예가 현대 도예에 미친 영향과 미술사적 의의를 살펴본다.

입체주의의 선구자로 불리는 파블로 피카소(1881-1973)는 회화뿐만 아니라 조각,두레족발 편육판화,두레족발 편육도예,두레족발 편육무대미술 등 다양한 장르를 넘나들었다.그는 1946년 프랑스 남부 발로리스의 도자 연례전을 찾은 것을 계기로 3000여 점의 도자를 제작했다.

4차원의 시공간 개념을 캔버스에 표현했던 피카소의 회화는 도자의 조형성을 만나 더욱 다층적이고 생동감 있게 표현됐다.

국립아시아문화전당 이강현 전당장은 "지역민들이 멀리 가지 않고도 국립현대미술관의 우수한 콘텐츠를 직접 감상할 수 있도록 기획했다"며 "피카소 도예 작품을 통해 상상력을 마음껏 펼치길 바란다"고 밝혔다.
