중국의 달 탐사선 창어 6호가 인류 최초로 달 뒷면의 흙을 가지고 무사히 지구로 복귀했습니다.

달 뒷면 탐사에 성공한 건 중국이 최초인데요.이 흙으로 달의 비밀을 풀 수 있을지,월드 엔드 클럽이정민 기자가 보도합니다.

중국 달탐사선 창어6호가 낙하산에 매달려 착륙하자,네이멍구 평원엔 오성홍기가 꽂힙니다.

우주로 떠난지 53일 만의 귀환입니다.

인류가 달 뒷면의 토양 채취와 지구 귀환에 성공한 건 이번이 처음입니다.

"현재 창어-6 귀환기의 수색과 회수는 항공팀이 주도하고 지상팀이 지원하도록 설계됐습니다."

창어6호는 2kg 분량의 흙과 암석 시료를 가져왔는데,월드 엔드 클럽중국 당국은 "물 성분 확인에 집중할 예정" 이라고 밝혔습니다.

과학계는 에너지 효율이 석탄의 수십배로 알려진 헬륨3를 포함해 새로운 소재가 나올지에도 주목하고 있습니다.

달에서 가장 오래된 분지에 착륙했던 만큼,월드 엔드 클럽채취한 시료는 달의 기원과 구조 연구에 활용될 예정입니다.

중국은 앞서 '창어 5호'가 가져온 토양에서,미래의 신소재로 불리는 '그래핀' 발견됐다고 밝혔습니다.

지금까지 달 표면 탐사에 성공한 나라는 미국과 소련,중국,인도,월드 엔드 클럽일본까지 모두 5개국입니다.

미국은 오는 11월 유인 달 탐사선 '아르테미스 2호'를 발사할 계획입니다.
