문화체육관광부는 한국콘텐츠진흥원과 함께 지식재산권(IP) 보유 제작사가 해외에 직접 진출할 수 있도록 지원하는 '시리즈온보드'의 2024년 참가사를 공모한다고 15일 밝혔다.

시리즈온보드는 K-콘텐츠 IP를 보유한 국내 제작사들이 해외 제작사·방송사·온라인동영상서비스(OTT)업체를 직접 만나 사업 확대를 도모하는 시사회(쇼케이스)다.

IP 보유사가 해외 구매자를 직접 만남으로써 방영권 판매부터 공동제작,슬롯 나라 nlcs리메이크까지 협업 방안을 논의할 기회다.시사회 참가와 더불어 투자유치,슬롯 나라 nlcs안내책자 등 홍보자료 제작과 통역,성과 홍보 등 다양한 지원도 받을 수 있다.

특히 미국의 '할리우드 진출 한인 리더모임',영국의 '방송영화제작자연합' 등 현지 기관과 연계해 K-콘텐츠 투자와 협업 의향이 있는 구매자를 모집할 예정이다.지난해에는 프랑스 파리,슬롯 나라 nlcs영국 런던,미국 LA에서 시리즈온보드를 개최해 드라마 '유괴의 날' 영국판 공동 리메이크가 결정되는 등의 성과를 냈다.

올해는 지원 분야를 확대한다.기존의 드라마 뿐 아니라 다큐멘터리,슬롯 나라 nlcs예능 등도 참가하도록 문을 열었다.특히 IP의 지속적인 활용을 위해 시즌제로 제작 가능한 비드라마 콘텐츠를 지원한다.제작사가 넷플릭스와 직접 방영권을 계약한 다큐멘터리 '랩소디 시리즈'처럼 제2의 '랩소디 시리즈'가 탄생할 수 있도록 지원한다.

또 지난해 사업 결과와 현장 의견을 반영해 콘텐츠 시장 규모 세계 3위인 일본을 새로운 개최지로 선정했다.오는 10월에 열리는 '도쿄국제필름마켓'에 앞서 시리즈온보드-도쿄를 9월23~25일 열 계획이다.런던은 11월6~8일,LA는 11월11~13일까지 개최한다.

김용섭 문체부 미디어정책국장은 "콘텐츠 IP는 중소제작사가 세계 무대로 도약할 원동력"이라며 "K-방송영상콘텐츠가 세계로 뻗어나가 성공사례를 만들도록 적극 지원할 것"이라고 말했다.
