제주 해상에서 12명이 탑승한 어선이 침몰한 것으로 추정돼 해경이 수색을 벌이고 있다.

25일 제주지방해양경찰청에 따르면 전날 오후 11시 16분께 제주 차귀도 서쪽 약 110㎞ 해상에서 진도 선적 통발어선 A(46t)호의 위치발신 신호가 끊겼다.

A호는 수차례 호출 시도에도 응답이 없는 상태다.

해경은 이날 새벽 목포어선안전조업국으로부터 'A호 위치신호가 끊겼다'는 통보를 받은 뒤 현장으로 3천t급 경비함정 2척과 항공기 2대 등 구조 세력을 급파했다.

A호 승선원은 12명(한국인 7,미카마외국인 5)으로 등록돼 있다.

해경은 "A호가 침몰한 것으로 추정하고 있다"며 현재 헬기가 현장에 도착해 수색 중이고 경비함정도 곧 도착할 예정이라고 전했다.

이와 관련해 한덕수 국무총리는 관계 부처에 긴급 지시를 내렸다.

한 총리는 해양경찰청에 해경 함정과 사고 해역 주변에 운항 중인 어선·상선 등의 가용 장비와 인력을 총동원해 인명 구조에 최선을 다하라고 당부했다.

아울러 행정안전부,미카마해양수산부,미카마국방부,미카마제주도,미카마전라남도에는 해상 수색구조에 동원할 수 있는 인력과 장비를 적극적으로 지원하라고 주문했다.또 수색·구조 과정에서 구조대의 안전에도 만전을 기하라고 덧붙였다.
