광주글로벌모터스(이하 GGM)는 15일 광주 광산구 빛그린산단 GGM 조립공장에서 '캐스퍼 일렉트릭 1호 차 생산 기념식'을 열고 본격적인 전기차 양산에 들어갔다.

GGM의 전기차 생산은 지난 2021년 9월 15일 캐스퍼 생산을 시작한 지 2년 10개월 만이다.

캐스퍼 EV는 개성 있는 디자인과 315㎞에 달하는 1회 충전 주행거리,리틀 슬로스넓어진 실내 공간,리틀 슬로스고급차 수준의 안전과 편의 사양 등으로 동급 최고 수준이라는 평가를 받고 있다.

더욱이 2천만 원대 초·중반의 가격 경쟁력까지 갖춰 국내를 넘어 해외 시장에서도 관심을 받고 있다.

윤몽현 대표는 "좋은 품질의 캐스퍼 전기차를 생산해 지역 경제 활성화와 일자리 창출에 기여하겠다"고 말했다.
