▲ 더불어민주당강원도당과 강릉시지역위원회는 28일 강릉 월화거리에서 '급발진 의심사고 입증 책임 전환을 위한 제조물책임법 개정 청원 참여 기자회견'을 개최했다.

지난 2022년 강릉 급발진 의심사고로 아들을 잃은 고(故) 이도현군 아버지가 올린 일명 '도현이법(제조물책임법 개정)' 국민동의청원이 5만명을 넘어서면서 도현이법 제정 논의를 위한 발판이 마련됐다.

급발진 의심 사고 발생시 입증책임 전환을 위한 제조물책임법 개정에 관한 청원이 28일 오후 4시 기준으로 5만 4000여명이 동의했다.

이에 향후 국회 소관위원회에 넘겨져 관련법 개정에 관한 논의가 또 다시 이뤄질 수 있게 됐다.

해당 청원은 지난 27일 청원 14일 만에 5만여 명 이상이 동의해 청원 성립요건을 달성했다.

그러나 유족들은 기간 만료일까지 더 많은 동의를 이끌어내겠다는 입장이다.

유족들은 현재 지역 상점과 아파트 단지 등 약 200곳에 대국민 호소문을 붙여 동의를 호소하고 있으며,십바리오는 29일부터 지역 개인택시 1000여대에도 호소문을 부착할 예정이다.

이도현 군 아버지 이상훈 씨는 "국민동의 청원 30일 기간 만료일인 7월 14일까지 지속적인 국민 동의가 가능하기에 10만 명,십바리20만 명 등 많은 국민들의 동의가 이뤄져 더 이상 국민들의 목소리를 무시하고 방관하지 않도록 국민들의 동참을 부탁드린다"고 밝혔다.
