세브란스·강남세브란스·용인세브란스병원이 소속된 연세대 의대 교수 비상대책위원회는 26일 성명을 내고 "지난 12일 연세대 의대 교수들의 뜻에 따라 결의한 대로 27일부터 휴진을 시행한다"고 밝혔다.

비대위는 입원 병동,행운복권방응급실,행운복권방중환자실,투석실,분만실 및 필수유지 업무 등을 제외한 비중증 상태 환자의 외래진료와 비응급 수술 및 시술을 중단하고 진료 일정을 재조정하기로 결정했다.

비대위는 "지난 12일 전체 교수의 뜻을 반영해 기한이 없는 휴진을 현재의 혼란을 종식시키기 위한 최후의 수단으로 결정했다"면서 "하루하루 급변하는 의료혼란의 정세 속에서 환자와 국민,학생과 전공의,행운복권방교직원 그리고 교수까지 모든 당사자들의 피해를 최소화하며 우리의 뜻을 온전히 전하기 위해 마지막의 마지막까지 고민하고 논의한 결과"라고 말했다．
