강원 강릉으로 자전거 여행을 떠났던 50대 관광객이 실종 신고 이틀 만에 숨진 채 발견됐다.
17일 경찰과 소방 당국에 따르면 이날 오후 3시30분께 강릉 옥계면 한 야산에서 50대 A씨가 숨진 채 발견됐다.
A씨 가족은 지난 15일 오후 11시33분께‘강릉에 자전거 여행을 간 뒤 연락이 두절됐다’고 실종 신고했다.
경찰과 소방 당국은 신고 접수 직후 야산 인근에서 실종된 A씨 수색에 나섰으나 찾지 못하고 수색을 종료했다.이튿날 역시 대대적인 수색을 벌였지만 찾지 못하고,2016년 3월 31일 야구 경기일정사흘째인 17일 오전 소방 드론과 구조견,2016년 3월 31일 야구 경기일정경찰 헬기를 동원해 수색한 끝에 A씨를 발견했다.
경찰은 A씨가 탄 것으로 추정되는 자전거가 도로를 이탈한 점 등을 미루어볼 때 사고사로 추정된다고 설명했다.A씨가 발견된 곳에선 자전거가 함께 발견된 것으로 알려졌다.
