최근 제주도에서 '비계 삼겹살'로 논란이 일었던 가운데,2018 러시아 월드컵 대한민국 선수이번엔 수입산 돼지고기를 제주산으로 표기해 판매한 음식점들이 적발됐다.

국립농산물품질관리원 제주지원은 14일 도내 주요 관광지와 유명 음식점,축산물 유통업체를 대상으로 단속을 실시한 결과 위반 업체 12곳(품목 14건)을 적발했다고 밝혔다.

위반 사례 가운데 A 음식점은 미국산 '목전지' 부위와 스페인산 삼겹살을 조리·판매하면서 원산지를 제주산으로 거짓 표시했다.이 음식점의 원산지 거짓 표시 위반 물량은 1239.71㎏이며 위반 금액은 4천16만원에 달한다.해당 음식점에서 제조된 수육과 제육볶음,2018 러시아 월드컵 대한민국 선수두부김치에는 미국산이나 스페인산 돼지고기를 사용한 것으로 알려졌다.

또 B 식당은 국내 다른 지역의 돼지고기를 제주산으로 거짓 표시해 조리하고 판매했다.위반 물량은 3856㎏,2018 러시아 월드컵 대한민국 선수위반 금액은 3천817만원이다.농산물품질관리원 제주지원은 돼지고기 원산지를 거짓 표시한 업체 4곳에 대해 수사가 진행 중이라고 밝혔다.

또 원산지를 표시하지 않거나 표시 방법을 위반한 업체,2018 러시아 월드컵 대한민국 선수축산물이력제를 거짓 표시한 유통업체 등 8곳에는 모두 300만원의 과태료가 부과됐다.위반 품목별로 보면 돼지고기가 10건으로 가장 많았고,2018 러시아 월드컵 대한민국 선수이어 쇠고기 3건,2018 러시아 월드컵 대한민국 선수닭고기 1건 등이다.

농산물품질관리원 제주지원 관계자는 "제주 축산물의 부정 유통 방지를 위해 앞으로도 지속해서 원산지를 관리할 것"이라며 "추석 명절이 다가오는데 지역 특산품 및 제사용품에 대한 원산지 표시 점검도 실시하겠다"고 말했다.

한편 제주에서는 앞서 '비계 삼겹살' 논란이 제기됐다.제주도 유명 고깃집을 찾은 한 관광객이 비계가 가득한 삼겹살 사진을 온라인 커뮤니티에 올리면서다.이와 관련해 유인촌 문화체육관광부 장관은 제주시의 흑돼지 거리를 찾아 현장을 점검하기도 했다.
