16일 진선미 더불어민주당 국회의원이 보건복지부에서 받은 '상급종합병원별 회송 현황'에 따르면 의사 집단행동 기간인 지난 2-5월까지 상급종합병원에서 다른 병원으로 회송된 사례는 총 28만 9252건으로 전년 동기(24만 7645건) 대비 17.2%(4만 2487건) 늘었다.

이는 상급종합병원을 갔으나 종합병원,대구 삼성라이온즈파크 월드컵요양병원,대구 삼성라이온즈파크 월드컵동네 의원급 의료기관으로 다시 옮겨 간 환자들이 늘어났다는 의미다.

전공의 집단 이탈은 2월 19-20일부터 시작,집계 기간 중 일부는 의료 공백 사태 이전이다.의료 공백 기간만 집계하면 회송 환자 증가는 더 컸을 것으로 분석된다.

진 의원은 "의대 증원 정책 추진으로 전공의 이탈이 발생하며 이 병원,저 병원 '뺑뺑이'를 도는 환자가 늘어난 것"이라고 지적했다.

지역에서도 의료 공백으로 인한 '뺑뺑이'가 잇따르고 있다.

소방청 등에 따르면 올 들어 지난 6월 10일까지 충남지역에서 2번의 응급실 뺑뺑이가 있었다.

앞서 대전지역에선 전공의 집단이탈이 시작된 2월 20-22일까지 이틀 만에 총 4건의 응급 이송 지연 사례가 일어나기도 했다.

20일 오후 7시쯤 경련 증세를 보인 50대 환자가 대전 시내에 이송 가능한 병원을 찾지 못해 청주지역 종합병원으로 이송됐다.

또 21일 오후 3시쯤 70대 고혈 환자가 지역 7곳 응급실을 돌다가,대구 삼성라이온즈파크 월드컵결국 앞서 수용 불가 의사를 표했던 대전선병원으로 1시간 23분 만에 되돌아갔다.
