오늘(15일)은 광복절입니다.

강원도 내 곳곳에서도 이른 아침부터 순국선열을 기리는 행사가 이어졌는데요.

춘천에서 열린 광복절 기념식에서는 강원도지사와 광복회 회원들이 충돌하면서 행사에 차질이 빚어지기도 했습니다.

조휴연 기자의 보도입니다.

올해로 일흔아홉 번째를 맞는 광복절.

춘천에서도 광복절 기념식이 열렸습니다.

기념식은 국악관현악단과 무용단의 공연으로 시작됐습니다.

뒤이어,2024년 05월 05일 키움 히어로즈 kt wiz독립운동가의 자녀에게 건국훈장도 수여됐습니다.

광복회 강원도지부장의 기념사는 이른바 '건국절' 논란에 대한 비판으로 채워졌습니다.

[김문덕/광복회 강원도지부장 : "우리나라가 1948년에 건국했다면,2024년 05월 05일 키움 히어로즈 kt wiz이는 반헌법적이고 일제 강점을 합법화시키려는 핑계인 것입니다.대한민국 초대 대통령인 이승만 박사를 간판으로 내세워 건국 대통령이라는 이름으로 이용하려는 행위는 없어야 하겠습니다."]

김진태 강원도지사는 이런 기념사에 대해 정면으로 반박했습니다.

[김진태/강원도지사 : "1919년에 건국이 되었다고 하면,2024년 05월 05일 키움 히어로즈 kt wiz이미 그때부터 나라가 있기 때문에 일제 강점도 부정하는 것이고,2024년 05월 05일 키움 히어로즈 kt wiz독립운동도 부정하는 것이고,나중에 광복도 부정하는 그런 자기 모순에 빠지게 되는 것입니다,2024년 05월 05일 키움 히어로즈 kt wiz여러분."]

광복회 회원들은 김 지사의 축사가 진행되던 도중 자리를 떴습니다.

이 과정에서 참석자들 간에 고성이 오고 가기도 했습니다.

["빨리 나가요!광복회원 나가요!"]

이에 앞서 강원광복기념관에 새롭게 마련된 항일애국선열탑에서는 추모식이 열렸고,춘천시청 앞 광장에서는 타종식이 열리기도 했습니다.

하지만 도내에서 가장 큰 규모로 치러진 광복절 기념식은 광복회원들 없이 어수선하게 마무리됐습니다.
