지난 15일 세종시 조치원읍 모 저수지에서 발견된 영아 시신에는 태반과 탯줄이 그대로 있었던 것으로 알려져 충격을 주고 있다.<2024년 8월15일자 대전세종충청면>

딸로 부터 연락은 받고 현장에 달려간 B 씨는 “발견 당시 영아의 시신에는 태반과 탯줄이 그대로 있었다”며 “확인 후 곧바로 경찰에 신고했다”고 말했다.

현재 영아 시신이 발견된 장소 인근에는 CCTV가 2대나 있어 용의자를 찾는데 오래 걸리지 않을 것으로 예상된다.

경찰은 이 사건을 산모가 출산 후 곧바로 유기한 것으로 보고 수사를 벌이고 있다.

한편 영아 시신을 처음 발견한 A 씨는 큰 충격을 받았으며 경찰도 심리치료를 받을 것을 권고했다.
