체코전력공사(CEZ)는 한국수력원자력(한수원)과 원전 신규 건설을 위한 최종 계약 서명을 중지해야 한다고 한 체코 법원의 결정에 항고할 것이라고 7일(현지시간) 밝혔다.
로이터통신에 따르면 다니엘 베네쉬 체코전력공사 사장은 이날 기자들에게 CEZ 측은 원전 수주 입찰 경쟁에서 탈락한 프랑스전력공사(EDF)의 법적 이의제기에도 불구하고 해당 프로젝트를 계속할 것이라며 이렇게 말했다.
그는 또 일정 지연으로 인한 손해 배상을 청구할 것이라고 덧붙였다.
앞서 체코 법원은 한수원의 원전 신규 건설을 위한 최종 계약서 서명을 하루 앞둔 지난 6일 EDF의 이의제기 절차가 마무리되기 전까지는 한수원과 CEZ 자회사 간 최종 계약 서명을 중지해야 한다고 결정했다.
