5일 연합뉴스는 1개월 이상 무단결석으로 제적 예정 통보된 학생들이 수업에 복귀하기로 결정했다고 보도했다.마찬가지로 복귀하고서도 실제로는 수업에 불참해 유급 위기에 처한 일부 의대들도 수업 복귀 여부를 고심 중인 것으로 알려졌다.
앞서 순천향대(606명),도박신고 1336을지대(299명),건양대(264명),인제대(557명),차의과대 의학전문대학원(190명) 등 5개 의대는 학칙에 따라 1개월 이상 무단결석한 학생을 대상으로 제적 통보를 완료한 바 있다.
교육부 또한 일부 의대의 건의에 따라 제적으로 결원이 발생할 경우 편입학으로 100% 충원할 수 있는 관련 규정을 개정한다는 방침이다.이에 부담을 느낀 의대생들이 결국 복귀를 결정한 것으로 보인다.
한편,지난해에 이어 이번 학기에서도 학사경고를 받을 경우 제적되는 충남대 학생들도 복귀 여부를 고심 중인 것으로 전해졌다.
