유튜버 쯔양(본명 박정원)을 협박해 2억여 원을 뜯어낸 혐의를 받는 여성 2명이 재판에 넘겨졌다.

서울중앙지검 형사3부(부장 최순호)가 지난달 24일 송모(32)씨와 김모(29)씨를 폭력행위등처벌에관한법률상 공동공갈 혐의로 기소한 것으로 9일 확인됐다.이들은 2021년 6월부터 이듬해 11월까지 쯔양을 협박하고 약 2억 1600만원을 받아낸 혐의를 받는다.

쯔양은 지난해 7~8월 본인 유튜브 영상에서 “소속사 전 대표이자 연인이었던 이모씨가 이 여성들 이야기를 꺼내면서‘과거 유흥업소에서 같이 일했다고 폭로하겠다고 하니 돈을 주고 입을 막자’고 했다”고 밝힌 바 있다.이어 “이씨의 폭행과 강요로 유흥업소에서 일할 수밖에 없었다”고 설명했다.

서울 강남경찰서는 지난 7월 이 PD의 고발장을 접수해 수사에 착수했다.경찰은 김씨 등에 대한 구속영장을 신청했지만 법원은 “증거가 이미 확보돼 있고,도망할 염려가 있다고 볼 수 없다”며 기각했다.

불구속 상태로 수사를 받아온 여성 2명은 지난해 말 반성하며 쯔양 측에 사과의 뜻을 전했다고 한다.다만 이들이 징역 10년 이하 2000만원 이하 벌금에 처할 수 있는 공갈죄보다 형량이 무거운 공동공갈 혐의를 받고,피해 액수도 큰 만큼 검찰은 기소하기로 가닥을 잡았다.쯔양 측 김태연 변호사는 “온라인에서 유명인의 약점을 폭로하겠다고 협박해 돈을 갈취하는 공갈죄는 중범죄”라며 “피고인들에 마땅한 처벌이 내려져 같은 일이 반복되지 않아야 한다”고 강조했다.

한편 유튜버 구제역(본명 이준희)과 변호사 최모씨는 지난 2월 쯔양을 협박해 수천만 원을 뜯어낸 혐의로 1심에서 각각 징역 3년과 2년을 선고받고 항소했다.재판부는 이외에 공갈 혐의를 받는 유튜버 주작감별사(본명 전국진)에겐 징역 1년에 집행유예 3년을,필리핀 클락 카지노위더스카지노공갈 방조 혐의를 받는 유튜버 카라큘라(본명 이세욱)와 크로커다일(본명 최일환)에겐 각각 징역 1년에 집행유예 3년,콘티넨탈 카지노벌금 500만원을 선고했다.
