중국 직구 플랫폼 알리익스프레스에서 전두환 전 대통령의 사진이 인쇄된 가방이 판매되자 5·18기념재단은 지난 9일 알리 측에 항의 공문을 발송하며 즉각 대응에 나섰다.

12일 5·18기념재단은 “온라인 쇼핑몰 알리익스프레스 코리아에 전두환 이미지를 활용한 상품의 판매 금지를 요청하는 공문을 보냈다”고 밝혔다.

해당 캔버스 가방은 미국 아웃도어 브랜드 노스페이스를 패러디한 로고와 함께 전 전 대통령의 얼굴이 전면에 인쇄돼 있다.가격은 약 1만5000원이다.

판매자는 “창의적인 프린트 휴대용 가방”이라고 설명하고 있다.

5·18기념재단은 공문에서 “전두환 이미지를 활용한 가방은 5·18 민주화운동 등 대한민국 민주주의 역사를 왜곡하고 폄훼하는 행위”라며 “일본‘욱일기,스페이스 토토사이트독일 나치의 상징인‘하켄크로이츠’와 마찬가지로 전두환의 이미지를 활용한 상품이 판매되어선 안된다.해당 상품의 판매 금지와 관련 규정 점검을 요구한다”고 밝혔다.

5·18기념재단의 항의 공문 발송 이후 알리 측은 해당 가방의 판매를 중단했다.현재 이 상품은 검색되지 않는다.
