KBS는 5일 제8기 장애인 앵커에 노희지(26·청각장애인) 씨가 선발됐다고 밝혔다.노 앵커는 오는 7일부터‘KBS 뉴스12’의‘생활 뉴스’코너를 맡아 진행한다.

노 앵커는 선천적으로 중증 청각 장애를 안고 태어났지만,전망 좋은 암호 화폐언어 치료 등 끊임없는 노력을 해왔다.

자신의 발음조차 잘 들리지 않아 어릴 때부터 젓가락을 입에 물고 작은 떨림의 차이를 느끼며 발음 연습을 해 왔고,gba 슬롯뉴스를 진행할 때도 PD의 지시를 듣는 인이어 장치의 소리를 최대로 키워야 겨우 들릴 정도라 다른 앵커들보다 몇 배나 더 많은 연습을 해야 했다.

아울러 노 앵커는 자신이 일반 초·중·고등학교에서 성실히 학업을 이어가는 것만으로도 장애에 대한 주변인들의 인식이 달라지는 걸 느꼈다며 “더 많은 사람들이 자신의 가능성을 믿을 수 있도록 돕고 싶다”고 했다.
