KBS가 국내에서 처음으로 청각장애인 앵커를 선발해 뉴스에 투입했습니다.

KBS는 오늘(7일) 청각장애인 노희지 씨를 제8기 장애인 앵커로 최종 선발했다고 밝혔습니다.

노 앵커는 오늘부터 KBS 뉴스12의 '생활뉴스' 코너를 맡아 진행했습니다.

앞서 KBS는 지체장애 1급,시각장애 앵커가 뉴스12 '생활뉴스'를 진행했습니다.

노 앵커는 선천적으로 중증 청각 장애를 갖고 있지만,언어 치료 등을 통해 발음 연습을 하고 일반 초·중·고등학교에서 학업을 이어왔습니다.

노 앵커는 "장애가 결코 장벽이 될 수 없음을 깨달았다"며 "내가 걸어온 길이 누군가의 희망이 되도록 KBS 장애인 앵커에 도전하게 됐다"고 밝혔습니다.
