경찰관.[사진 출처 = 연합뉴스]현직 경찰관들이 스크린골프장으로 이동하면서 관용차를 사용했다는 의혹이 제기돼 경찰이 사실관계 확인에 나섰다.

7일 경찰 등에 따르면 인천경찰청 소속 A 경감 등 경찰관들은 지난달 16일 오후 6시께 남동구 인천교통정보센터 앞에서 관용 승합차 트렁크에 골프가방을 실은 뒤 해당 차를 타고 스크린골프장으로 이동했다.

당시 관용차에는 A 경감을 포함한 현직 경찰관 2∼3명이 함께 골프가방을 싣고 탑승한 것으로 파악됐다.

A 경감은 연합뉴스에 “생각이 짧아 관용차를 (사적으로) 사용했고 변명의 여지가 없다”며 “경찰 동료들과 함께 차로 5분 거리에 있는 스크린골프장으로 이동하면서 짐이 많다 보니 생각 없이 관용차를 사용했다”고 해명했다.

그러면서 “당시에 경찰 동료 1∼2명과 함께 관용차를 사용했던 것 같은데 구체적인 인원수는 기억나지 않는다”며 “3∼4시간 함께 골프를 치고 차량은 다시 반납했다”고 덧붙였다.

인천경찰청 관계자는 “관용차 사적 사용 의혹과 관련해 사실관계를 확인하고 있다”며 “결과에 따라 필요한 조치를 할 계획”이라고 말했다.
