(서울=연합뉴스) 조성미 기자 = 과학기술정보통신부는 건양대병원,경북대 첨단기술원,기술보증기금,한국도로공사 4개 기관을 데이터 안심구역으로 신규 지정했다고 8일 밝혔다.

데이터 분석을 위한 안전한 구역으로 지정받게 되면 민감한 내용을 포함한 미개방 데이터를 보호하면서 인공지능(AI) 기술 개발 등에 활용할 수 있다.

이번에 4곳이 추가 지정되며 데이터 안심구역은 온라인 포함 14곳으로 늘었다.

과기정통부는 산업부,럭키랜드 슬롯 프로모션국토부 등과 협의해 정부·공공기관이 보유한 화학·금속·세라믹·섬유 분야 소재 데이터를 데이터 안심구역을 통해 제공 중이다.

고정밀,고해상의 3차원 좌표가 포함된 항공사진,위성영상 등의 공간정보도 국내 기업이 AI 개발 등에 활용할 수 있도록 지원한다.
