SK텔레콤이 할인 약정 기간이 남아있는 가입자의 해지 위약금 면제 여부와 더불어 결합 할인 상품 가입자 중 일부가 이탈했을 때 남은 가입자의 할인율 유지 여부에 대해서도 유보적인 입장을 밝혔습니다.

오늘(8일) 국회 과학기술정보방송통신위원회 소속 김장겸 의원(국민의힘)이 한국소비자원으로부터 제출받은 SKT의 답변 자료에 따르면 이 회사는 결합 고객 일부 해지 시 잔여 회선 할인율 유지 가능성을 묻는 소비자원 질의에 "아직 정해진 내용이 없다"고 회신했습니다.

소비자원은 해킹 사건이 알려진 이후 SKT에 소비자 피해 구제를 위한 공문을 발송하면서 답변을 지난 2일까지 제출할 것을 요구했습니다.

SK텔레콤은 답변서에서 "비정상 인증 시도 차단(FDS) 강화 조치를 최고 수준으로 격상해 운영하고 있으며 유심 보호 서비스로 해킹을 원천 차단할 수 있다"고 설명했습니다.

SKT 이사회는 해지 가입자 위약금 면제 여부에 대해 법적 검토를 진행 중입니다.
