구석기 유적이 있는 경기도 연천군에서 축제가 열렸습니다.

선사시대 유적을 접하는 방식을 더 역동적으로 바꿨다고 합니다.

이채리 기자가 전해드립니다.

구석기인 복장을 한 사람들이 율동을 펼칩니다.

한쪽에선 나무 꼬치에 고기를 끼워 숯불에 구워 먹습니다.

["우리 바보 아니다."]

구석기 시대의 문화와 식생활을 재현한 체험에 어른과 아이가 함께 했습니다.

[박명화·김보미/서울시 노원구 : "처음 와봐서 신기하고 구석기 시대에 사람들이 어떻게 살았는지를 배울 수 있어서 좋아요."]

해외 8개 나라에서 온 선사 문화 전문가들은 돌로 불붙이기 등을 체험할 수 있는 세계 구석기 체험마당을 열었습니다.

[사무엘 파츠라이너/오스트리아 : "불을 피웁니다.약 5~6천 년 전,(알프스에서 발견된 선사시대 미라) 외치가 불을 피우는 방식처럼요."]

전곡리 유적의 발견은 우연한 발견에서 시작됐습니다.

1978년 한 주한미군이 한탄강 인근에서 돌을 주웠고,이 돌이 구석기 도구인 아슐리안형 주먹도끼로 확인되며 전곡리는 학계의 주목을 받게됐습니다.

아슐리안 주먹도끼는 당시까지만 해도 동아시아에선 확인되지 않았습니다.

[오현주·오수민·이진숙·오주빈/경기도 양주시 : "너무 잘 준비가 됐다는 걸 느꼈고요.체험 면에서도 구석기에 대한 시대를 체험하는 데 충분한 체험 공간이랑 부스가 있다고 생각합니다."]

연천군은 축제를 기반으로 2029년 개최를 목표로 '세계 구석기 엑스포'도 추진할 예정입니다.

[김덕현/경기 연천군수 : "세계 구석기 엑스포로 진화한다면 (연천군의) 평화적,저가 블랙잭문화적 가치를 세계에 알리는 계기가 될 것입니다."]

구석기 축제는 오는 5일까지 이어집니다.
