2일 오후 1시 35분쯤 서울 강남구 역삼동의 19층짜리 오피스텔 건물 옥상에서 한 여성이 투신을 시도하다 약 2시간 만에 구조됐다.
소방 당국은 "옥상 난간에 여성이 앉아있다"는 신고를 접수받고 인력 57명과 장비 19대를 투입했다.강남경찰서 관계자는 "옥상으로 올라가 현장을 지휘했고,카지노 망함오후 3시 18분쯤 경찰특공대가 이 여성을 구조했다"고 밝혔다.약 2시간 가까이 옥상에서 투신 소동이 벌어진 것이다.

이로 인해 한때 건물 앞에는 에어매트가 설치되고 현장이 통제됐다.
SNS(소셜미디어)에는 이날 구조 상황이 담긴 영상이 퍼졌다.영상 속 여성은 치마를 입은 채 옥상에서 건물 가장자리에 다가가는 등 위험한 행동을 보였다.
