미국과 일본 간 관세협상에서 상호관세 추가분과 자동차 관세 등을 놓고 이견이 불거지면서 협상이 난항을 겪을 것이란 전망이 나왔습니다.

도쿄신문은 미국이 상호관세 중 기본관세인 10%는 빼고 나라별로 더해진 추가분만 협의할 수 있다면서 추가분인 14% 관세 철폐에는 반대한다는 입장이라고 오늘(6일) 보도했습니다.

미측은 또 25%인 철강·알루미늄·자동차 관세는 협의 대상이 아니라고 선을 그은 것으로 알려졌습니다.

반면 일본은 자동차 관세를 포함한 재검토를 주장하고 있습니다.

도쿄신문은 "일본을 예외 취급하지 않으려는 미국 태도가 선명하다"며 협상이 난항을 보일 것으로 예상했습니다.
