미복귀 의대생에 대한 징계 처분 규모가 내일(7일) 확정될 거로 보입니다.

전국 의대가 처분 현황과 학사 계획을 확정해 교육부에 보고하는데,정부는 확정된 징계에 대해 철회나 취소는 없다고 못 박았습니다.

[리포트]

전국 의대가 내일(7일) 미복귀 의대생에 대한 처분 현황과 학사 운영 계획을 교육부에 보고합니다.

각 의대는 무단결석의 경우 '제적'을,복귀 후 수업 불참은 '유급' 처분을 내리기로 방침을 정했습니다.

앞서 5개 의대는 한 달 이상 무단결석한 1,에오스파워볼916명에게 제적 예고 통보서를 보냈습니다.

사실상 퇴학 통보입니다.

이에 순천향의대 606명이 복귀 의사를 밝히는 등 미복귀 의대생 대부분이 복귀를 결정할 거로 전해졌습니다.

문제는 유급입니다.

복귀 후 수업에 참여하지 않은 의대생은 10명 중 7명꼴,대규모 유급 사태가 현실화할 거란 전망이 나오고 있습니다.

여기에 제적 처분과 달리 유급은 의대생 신분을 유지할 수 있는 점도 대량 유급 가능성을 높이고 있습니다.

정부는 이에 대해 처분이 확정되면 철회나 취소는 없다는 강경 입장을 거듭 밝혔습니다.

기한도 2025학년도 교육 대상자가 최종 확정되는 내일로 못 박았습니다.

제적으로 인한 결원은 편입학으로 보충하겠다는 후속 대책도 내놨습니다.

교육부는 오는 9일,40개 의대의 유급과 제적 규모를 공개할 예정입니다.
