국민의힘은 12일 양우식 경기도의회 운영위원장의 직원 성희롱 발언 논란과 관련해 당무감사위원회에 진상조사를 지시했다.
국민의힘은 이날 공동선거대책위원장실 명의 공지를 통해 "권성동 비상대책위원장 권한대행은 양 의원의 충격적인 성희롱 발언 논란과 관련해 당무감사위원회에 철저히 진상조사를 진행하도록 지침을 내렸다"며 "진상조사 결과에 따라 엄정한 징계 절차가 진행될 예정"이라고 밝혔다.
이날 오전 경기도 직원 전용 익명 커뮤니티에는 양 위원장으로 추정되는 상임위원장에게 성희롱을 당했다는 주장이 제기됐다.
이와 관련해 경기도청 공무원노동조합은 성명서를 내고 "도민의 대의기관인 도의회에서,컴퓨터 고스톱 게임 다운로드그것도 도민을 대표하는 도의원이 이런 상식 이하의 성희롱 발언을 한 것은 명백한 인권 침해이자 직장 내 괴롭힘에 해당한다"며 "도의회는 즉각 진상조사와 함께 경찰수사 의뢰 등 엄중한 조치에 착수해야 한다"고 밝혔다.
