(서울=연합뉴스) 최원정 기자 = 백종원 더본코리아 대표가 적정한 검사 절차를 거치지 않은 조리도구를 가맹점에 공급했다는 의혹에 대해 경찰이 입건 전 조사(내사)에 착수했다.

8일 경찰에 따르면 서울 강남경찰서는 최근 국민신문고 민원을 접수해 백 대표와 더본코리아 법인의 식품위생법 위반 의혹에 대한 내사를 시작했다.

민원인은 더본코리아가 허가받지 않은 업체에 '닭뼈 튀김' 조리도구 제작을 의뢰해 관련법상 요구되는 검사 없이 맥주 프랜차이즈 '백스비어' 가맹점 54곳에 무료 공급했다고 주장했다.

현행 식품위생법에 따르면 식품의약품안전처(식약처)가 정한 규격에 맞지 않는 기구와 용기,애니 추천 사이트포장 등은 식약처장 등이 지정한 식품 전문 시험·검사기관의 검토를 거쳐야 한다.

백 대표와 더본코리아는 '덮죽' 제품과 '쫀득 고구마빵' 제품의 허위광고 의혹 등으로도 입건돼 경찰 수사를 받고 있다.잇단 논란 속에 백 대표는 지난 6일 모든 방송활동을 중단하겠다고 밝혔다.
