제네시스는 9일(현지시간) 미국 뉴욕 맨해튼의 브랜드 전용 복합문화공간‘제네시스 하우스’에서 이 같은 전시공간을 공개했다고 11일 밝혔다.

이번 전시는 한국의 자연과 문화에서 영감을 받아 구성된 체험형 전시다.웰니스 브랜드인‘구프’의 CEO(최고경영책임자)를 맡고 있는 기네스 팰트로와 협업하면서 미국식 웰니스 철학을 결합했다는 설명이다.공간은 제네시스 하우스 지하 전시 공간‘셀러 스테이지’에 마련됐다.

관람객이 전시 공간에 들어서면 가장 먼저 소백산에서 착안한 공간을 마주하게 된다.이 공간에는 호랑이,슬롯 조작 추천바위,숲,꽃 등 한국 자연을 모티프로 한 작품들이 전시됐다.시청각 효과 뿐만 아니라 숲의 향기,질감 등을 느낄 수 있는 연출도 더해졌다.

관람객이 전시 공간을 걸어들어가면 기네스 팰트로의 내레이션이 흘러나온다.체험 공간의 전반적인 디자인에는 세계적인 플로리스트 제프 리섬이 참여했다.기네스 팰트로가 가장 좋아하는 꽃인 작약을 활용해 한국적 풍경을 현대적으로 재해석했다는 설명이다.

제네시스 관계자는 “이번 전시는 한국적 자연관과 미적 감성을 세계인에게 전달하려는 브랜드 철학의 연장선”이라면서 “기네스 팰트로와의 협업을 통해 도심 속에서도 한국의 정취를 느낄 수 있는 공간을 구성했다”고 밝혔다.

전시는 현지시간 6월 29일까지 진행된다.제네시스 하우스 레스토랑에서는 이번 전시의 컨셉에 맞춰 개발한 한국식 요리를 선보인다.호랑이 무늬 만두피로 만든 쑥 굴림 만두,인삼·도라지 등 한방 재료를 활용한 칵테일 등을 즐길 수 있다.
