설명회는 정부 R&D 예산안 편성 첫 단계로 국가과학기술자문회의 운영위원회 산하 기술 분야별 전문위원들이 내년 정부 R&D 사업 주요 내용을 검토합니다 . 전문위원 165명은 10개 기술 분야에 걸쳐 정부 R&D 사업별 내용을 듣고 기술적 혁신성,예산 투입 시급성과 적정 규모에 대한 검토 의견을 제시합니다.
과기정통부는 검토 결과와 예산안 편성지침,국가 R&D 투자방향,정부 정책과 R&D 투자 전략 등을 반영해 6월 말까지 국가 R&D 사업 예산 배분·조정안을 마련할 계획입니다.
류광준 과기정통부 과학기술혁신본부장은 "내년 정부 R&D는 선도형 R&D로의 전환을 본격화하여 혁신주도 성장을 견인할 것"이라며 "정부 R&D 투자를 선택과 집중으로 정교화하고,게임 플레이어부처 간 협업과 사업화 강화 등을 통해 경제적 가치 창출이 가능하도록 전문위원들과 면밀히 검토해 나가겠다"고 말했습니다.
