5일 오전 6시 56분쯤 전남 완도군 완도읍 한 리조트에서 일산화탄소로 추정되는 가스에 중독되는 사고가 발생해 숙박객 14명이 경상 환자로 분류됐다.이들은 한 객실이 아닌 여러 곳에서 동시에 발생한 환자인 것으로 밝혀졌다.소방 당국은 숙박객 중 추가 환자가 있는지 확인하는 한편 정확한 사고 경위를 조사 중이다.
전날에는 교통사고도 잇따랐다.지난 4일 4시 52분쯤 전남 함평군 학교면 무안-광주고속도로 상행선 동함평나들목(IC) 인근에서 승용차와 승합차 등 차량 3대가 부딪치는 이중 추돌사고가 났다.이 사고로 경상 환자 13명이 발생했고,강윤성 카지노차량 정체가 빚어지면서 현장 수습은 오후 9시 30분쯤 마무리됐다.
