트럼프 대통령은 5일(현지시간) 백악관에서 의약품 제조 촉진 관련 행정명령을 서명하면서 의약품에 대한 관세율 및 발표 시기 등을 결정했느냐는 질문에 "향후 2주 이내(over the next two weeks)에 발표할 것"이라고 밝혔습니다.

또 "의약품 가격과 관련해 다음 주에 큰 발표를 할 것"이라면서 "전 세계 다른 나라와 비교해 우리는 매우 불공정하게 갈취당하고 있다"고 주장했습니다.

트럼프 대통령은 이 자리에서 식품의약국(FDA)에 미국 내 제약 공장을 짓는데 걸리는 승인 시간을 단축하도록 지시하는 행정명령에 서명했습니다.

이 명령에는 미국 환경보호국(EPA)에도 관련 승인 절차를 가속하도록 하는 내용이 포함돼 있습니다.
