[정오뉴스] 미국에서 태어나 이중국적을 얻었더라도 지속적으로 미국에서 체류한 게 아니라면 성인이 된 후 미국 국적을 포기해야만 대한민국 국적을 취득할 수 있다는 법원 판단이 나왔습니다.
미국에서 한국 국적을 가진 부모의 자녀로 태어난 A 씨는 21살이 된 지난해 2월 한국 국적 선택 신고를 했지만,슬롯나라 ㅛㅇ출입국사무소는 어머니가 자녀의 복수 국적 취득을 위해 원정 출산을 했다고 보고 외국 국적을 포기해야 한국 국적을 선택할 수 있다며 신고를 돌려보냈습니다.
서울행정법원은 출산일을 포함해 어머니가 해외에 2년여간 계속해 머무르지 않아 예외 규정에 해당하지 않는다고 보고 출입국 당국의 처분이 타당하다 판단했습니다.
