미 국무부는 이날 의회에 판매 승인 사실을 통보하면서 20억4000만달러 규모의 MK 84 및 BLU-117 폭탄 3만5500개 이상과 프레데터 탄두 4000개 판매를 승인했다고 밝혔다.

국무부는 성명에서 "마코 루비오 국무장관이 미국의 안보 이익을 위해 이스라엘 정부에 방위 물자와 서비스를 판매해야 하는 비상 상황이라고 결정했다"며 "이에 따라 의회의 검토 요구를 면제했다"고 설명했다.

무기 인도는 내년부터 시작될 예정이라고 국무부는 밝혔다.국무부는 2028년부터 인도 예정인 6억7570만달러 규모의 탄약 판매도 승인했다고 밝혔다.
