불법체류자 외국인 2명이 법무부 단속을 피해 15m 높이 크레인 위에 올라가는 아찔한 상황이 연출됐다.

19일 경찰에 따르면 이날 오후 3시께 경남 김해시 한림면의 한 공장에서 외국인 2명이 고공농성을 벌인다는 신고가 접수됐다.이들은 공장 일용직으로 일하던 불법체류자로 파악됐다.

두 사람은 법무부 출입국사무소의 불법체류자 단속을 피해 15m 높이 크레인 위로 올라간 것으로 알려졌다.함께 있던 다른 외국인 4명은 현장에서 체포됐다.

출동한 경찰은 4시 17분께 외국인 근로자들이 내려올 수 있도록 유도했다.

경찰은 현재 정확한 사건 경위를 확인 중이다.
