[헤럴드경제=박준환 기자]파주시(시장 김경일)가 수도권광역급행철도(GTX)를 중심으로 한 버스노선 개편 계획을 발표했다.시는 지티엑스(GTX) 운정역으로의 이동시간 단축을 주된 내용으로 버스노선 개편안을 수립했다.이는 김경일 시장이 취임 초기부터 강조해 온 이용자 중심의 대중교통서비스를 제공하려는 의지를 보여준다.

수도권광역급행철도(GTX)-A 노선은 파주시 교통환경 혁신의 시작이다.이를 중심으로 버스노선이 개편되면 ▷운정역 접근성 ▷환승 편의성 ▷이동시간 단축으로 시민들이 빠르고 편리하게 서울로 이동할 수 있게 된다.

11일 시에 따르면 인근 지역에서 지티엑스(GTX) 운정역과 연계되는 버스 노선안을 수립하기 위해 지난해 4월과 10월 두 차례 시민 의견을 수렴했다.

시는 제시된 의견을 검토해 지티엑스(GTX) 연계 노선 5개를 신설하고,게임아트 슬롯기존 노선 7개를 조정할 계획이다.각 노선의 원활한 운행을 위해 연말까지 시내/마을버스 40대를 증차할 예정이다.증차가 완료되면 운정권은 67대,금촌권은 23대,게임아트 슬롯그 외 지역은 9대의 버스가 지티엑스(GTX) 운정역까지 다니게 된다.

지역별로 세부 노선 계획을 살펴보면 ▷운정권은 10분 간격의 배차,게임아트 슬롯15분 내 도착 ▷금촌권은 15분 간격의 배차,게임아트 슬롯30분 내 도착 ▷그 외 지역은 40분 간격의 배차,게임아트 슬롯60분 내 도착을 목표로 한다.

김경일 시장은 “접근성이 떨어지면 수도권광역급행철도(GTX)-A 노선 개통에 따른 효과가 반감되기 때문에 이번 버스노선 개편이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “연계 버스의 이용 수요를 지속적으로 파악하는 등 지티엑스(GTX) 운정역으로의 접근성을 높일 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
