[제주=뉴시스] 오영재 기자 = 제주 우도에서 이틀 만에 또다시 리튬배터리 전기오토바이 화재가 발생했다.

2일 제주소방안전본부에 따르면 이날 오전 7시4분께 제주시 우도 연평리 소재 A전기오토바이 대여점에서 '외부에 세워둔 전기오토바이에서 불이 났다'는 신고가 접수됐다.

이 불은 출동한 소방당국에 의해 약 20분 만에 진화됐다.인명피해는 없는 것으로 파악됐다.

불이 난 전기오토바이는 리튬배터리가 장착된 것으로 확인됐다.인근에 주차돼 있던 삼륜 전기차 20여대도 그을리거나 불에 탄 것으로 전해졌다.

우도에서는 이틀 전인 지난달 30일에도 전기오토바이 화재가 잇따랐다.모두 리튬배터리를 사용하는 기종이다.

지난달 30일 오후 8시37분께 A업체 인근 정비 센터에서 주차된 2021년식 전기오토바이에서 화재가 발생해 17대가 전소됐다.같은 오전 9시4분께에도 전기오토바이에서 불이 나 10여분 만에 진화됐다.

리튬베터리 화재 시 배터리 온도가 순식간에 오르는 '열 폭주'(thermal runaway) 현상으로 진화가 쉽지 않고 피해가 순식간에 커질 수 있다．
