5명 중 2명 퇴사…"중증환자 중심 진료…경증환자 동네병의원 이용"

(춘천=연합뉴스) 이상학 기자 = 강원특별자치도 속초의료원이 응급실 제한 운영에 들어간다.

5일 강원도에 따르면 속초의료원 응급실 전담 의료진 5명 가운데 최근 2명이 퇴사함에 따라 업무 과중으로 인한 의료진 보호와 중증 환자 중심의 진료를 위해 제한 운영을 하기로 했다.

또 이달 8∼10일,토토충 만화22∼24일에는 응급실도 운영하지 않는다.

앞서 속초의료원은 올해 초부터 의료진 채용 공고를 10차례 진행했지만,충원에 거듭 실패했다.

더욱이 올해 2월부터 시작된 의료계 집단행동의 여파로 의료진 채용에 더 큰 어려움을 겪고 있다.

이에 강원도는 최근 관계기관과 대책 마련에 나서고 있으며 속초의료원은 의료진과 응급실 미운영 시간을 최소화하는 방안을 강구하고 있다.

강원도는 경증 및 비응급환자는 동네 병의원으로 내원해 줄 것과 119 이송에 따른 환자 수용 등에 동참을 당부했다.

이경희 도 복지보건국장은 "중증 환자 발생 시 강릉아산병원,토토충 만화원주세브란스기독병원 등으로 긴급 이송이 원활하게 이루어지도록 협력체계를 강화하겠다"며 "대형병원의 중증 응급환자 우선 치료를 위해 환자의 중증도에 따른 기타 의료기관으로의 전원 안내에 적극 협조해 줄 것을 당부드린다"고 말했다.
