지난 18일 제주 맘카페에는‘중국인들 진짜 너무합니다.꼭 봐주세요’라는 제목의 글이 올라왔다.

A씨는 “중국인들이 제주로 여행 오는 건 그나마 괜찮은데 남의 나라 길거리에서 아이가 대변을 싸게 한다.도민으로서 너무 화가 나 경찰에 신고했다”면서 사진을 공개했다.

사진 속에는 도보 위 가로수 옆에 쪼그려 앉은 남자아이가 바지를 내리고 대변을 보고 있다.그 옆에는 엄마로 보이는 여성과 일행이 가만히 서 있는 모습이다.

A 씨는 “도대체 무슨 생각으로 이러는 건지.우리나라 사람들은 강아지 대변도 봉투로 다 깨끗하게 처리하고 가는데 사람 대변이라니.왜 남의 나라를 더럽히냐”라며 분통을 터뜨렸다.

이어 “횡단보도가 빨간 불인데 파란불인 것처럼 무리 지어 건너질 않나,코토콜리족상식선이 어디까지인지를 모르겠다”며 “혹시나 이런 중국인들 보시면 우리 모두 같이 신고해 주자”고 적었다.

그러면서 “요즘 이상한 사람 많으니 위험하게 말은 섞지 마시고,코토콜리족문자나 전화 신고라도 자꾸 해야 에티켓 경고판이라도 붙여주지 않을까 싶다”고 토로했다.

길에서 대소변을 보는 행위는 경범죄처벌법에 따라 처벌을 받을 수 있다.

경범죄 처벌법 제3조에는‘길이나 공원,코토콜리족그 밖에 여러 사람이 모이거나 다니는 곳에서 함부로 침을 뱉거나 대소변을 본 사람은 10만원 이하 벌금 또는 구류에 처할 수 있다’고 명시돼 있다.
