바이오 플랫폼 기업 알테오젠이 중국 국가약품감독관리총국 산하 국가약품심사평가센터(CDE)에서 허셉틴 바이오시밀러‘ALT-L2'의 품목허가를 취득했다.

12일 알테오젠은 중국 파트너사인 치루제약으로부터‘ALT-L2’의 CDE 품목허가를 취득했다는 통지를 받았다고 밝혔다.블록버스터 항암항체치료제 중 하나인 허셉틴 바이오시밀러다.오리지널사는 스위스 로슈로 유방암 및 위암 치료에 사용된다.

ALT-L2는 알테오젠의 초창기 파이프라인 중 하나다.회사는 2016년 자체적으로 진행한 캐나다 임상 1상을 성공적으로 마무리했으나 글로벌 경쟁이 심화되며 개발을 중단했었다.반면 치루제약은 중국시장에서 경쟁력이 있다고 판단했고 협상 끝에 알테오젠은 2017년 기술수출을 진행했다.이후 중국에서 2022년 임상 3상을 마쳤고 지난해 4월에는 품목허가를 신청해 최근 품목허가를 취득했다.

알테오젠 관계자는 “첫 자체품목인 테르가제의 시판 및 하이브로자임 플랫폼 기술이 사용된 피하제형 치료제들이 상업화되면 본격적인 매출이 발생하는 기업이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다”고 말했다.
