육군 12사단 신병교육대에서 군기훈련을 받던 훈련병이 숨진 사건을 수사 중인 경찰이 핵심 간부 2명을 소환해 조사했습니다.

강원경찰청은 어제(지난 13일) 숨진 훈련병의 중대장과 부중대장 2명을 피의자 신분으로 소환해 조사했다고 하루 지나 공개했습니다.

이들은 지난달 23일 훈련병 6명에게 규정에 어긋난 군기훈련을 지시해 이 가운데 1명을 숨지게 한 혐의를 받고 있습니다.

경찰은 당초 참고인들을 중심으로 조사를 진행했으나 지난 10일 업무상 과실치사와 직권남용 가혹행위 혐의로 이들을 입건했습니다.

경찰 관계자는 "현재 수사 중인 사안이라 자세한 내용은 알려줄 수 없지만 주말에 추가 소환 계획은 없다"고 설명했습니다.
