1994년 한국이동통신에 입사한 이래 줄곧 SK그룹에 몸담아온 최 사장은 2011년 SK 비서2실장을 거쳐 2022년 3월 SK온에 합류했다.이후 해외 합작법인(JV) 설립과 글로벌 자금 유치 등을 총괄했으며,nba 보는곳지난해 1월부터는 경영지원총괄 사장으로 SK온의 배터리 사업 전반을 챙겨왔다.

최 사장은 최태원 SK그룹 회장의 친동생인 최재원 SK그룹 수석부회장의 '복심'으로 알려진 인물이다.그는 SK 비서실장 시절 최 수석부회장의 신임을 얻은 것으로 전해졌다.

한편,최 사장은 지난해부터 겸임하고 있는 패스키의 대표이사직은 유지하기로 했다.SK E&S의 북미에너지사업을 총괄하는 패스키는 최재원 수석부회장이 이사회 의장을 맡고 있으며,최태원 회장의 장남인 최인근 SK E&S 매니저가 근무 중이다.
