[앵커]

지난 1월 미국에서 보잉 여객기의 비상구 덮개가 공중에서 떨어져 나가는 아찔한 사고가 있었죠.

보잉이 동체 제작 당시 서류 기록이 누락돼 비상구 덮개를 고정하는 볼트가 체결되지 않았다는 자체 조사 결과를 발표했습니다.

보잉 측은 안전관리를 강화하겠다고 약속했습니다.

[리포트]

지난 1월 미국 포틀랜드 공항에서 이륙한 알래스카항공 여객기에 커다란 구멍이 뚫렸습니다.

비상구 덮개가 5천 미터 상공에서 갑자기 떨어져 나간 겁니다.

[사고 당시 조종사 교신 : "비상이다.기내 압력이 떨어진다.회항해야 한다.177명이 타고 있다."]

이 사고를 조사해온 보잉 측은 동체 제작 과정에서 비상구 덮개를 고정하는 볼트가 체결되지 않았다고 시인했습니다.

비상구 덮개 연결 부품에 문제를 발견해 이를 교체하는 과정에서 이미 고정돼 있었던 볼트를 풀고 비상구 덮개를 한번 떼어냈는데,첼시u21다른 작업자들이 이런 사실을 모른 채 다시 볼트를 채우지도 않고 비상구 덮개 마감 작업을 했다는 겁니다.

서류 기록을 제대로 작성하지 않아 일어난 일이라고 보잉 측은 설명했습니다.

앞서 미 교통안전위원회 역시 사고 이후 비상구 덮개 주변과 덮개가 추락한 지점에서 볼트를 발견하지 못했다고 밝힌 바 있습니다.

보잉 측은 일부 직원이 서류 한 장 제대로 작성하지 못했다는 사실에 충격을 받았다며,첼시u21직원 교육과 훈련에 대한 투자를 확대하고 제조 과정의 의사소통을 쉽게 만드는 등 안전관리를 강화하겠다고 밝혔습니다.
