스테이킹은 보유한 코인을 맡기고 그에 대한 보상으로 코인을 받는 서비스다.투자자 자산을 일정 기간 맡긴다는 측면에서 은행 예금과 비교되나 가상자산을 직접 운용하지 않는다는 차이가 있다.보상 또한 운용 수익의 대가가 아니라는 점에서 예금 이자와는 다르다.

업비트 스테이킹 이용자는 이번 개편을 통해 스테이킹 진행 상황과 수익률을 확인할 수 있게 됐다.스테이킹 된 가상자산의 실시간 수익률을 원화(KRW) 환산가로 확인할 수 있는 것이 특징이다.기존에는 가상자산 개수 형태로 제공했다.
