경찰에 따르면 보이스피싱 송금책인 40대 남성 A 씨는 지난달 27일 오전 9시 30분쯤 기업은행 제주지점을 찾아 보이스피싱 피해금인 1,미카일 안토니오800만 원을 송금하려한 혐의를 받고 있습니다.

당시 은행 직원이 무엇 때문에 돈을 보내려 하는지 묻자,A 씨는 횡설수설하며 제대로 답변을 못했고,보이스피싱을 의심한 직원이 경찰에 신고한 걸로 나타났습니다.

경찰 조사 결과 A 씨가 송금하려던 돈은 보이스피싱 피해금이었습니다.경찰은 A 씨를 사기 방조 혐의로 입건해 조사하는 한편 돈을 돌려주기 위해 피해자를 찾고 있습니다.

또 보이스피싱 피해금 송금을 막은 은행 직원은 감사장을 받았습니다.박현규 제주 동부경찰서장은 어제(3일) 지점을 찾아 직원에 감사장과 검거보상금을 전달했습니다.

박 서장은 “도내 금융기관과 협조체계를 유지해 시민의 재산을 지키고 피의자 검거에 만전을 기하겠다”고 밝혔습니다.
