9일 정보기술(IT)업계에 따르면 천리안 운영사인 LG유플러스 자회사 미디어로그는 올해 10월 31일 PC 통신 서비스인 천리안을 종료한다고 9일 홈페이지를 통해 안내했다.

천리안 관계자는 "함께했던 포털 서비스가 하나,바카라 따는법둘 종료하는 시장 상황에서도 서비스를 지속하고자 노력했다"면서도 "사업 환경의 변화에 따라 더 이상 양질의 메일 서비스를 유지하기 어려워 서비스 종료라는 쉽지 않은 결정을 내렸다"고 했다.

천리안은 오는 11일 메일·주소록 백업 기능을 연 뒤,바카라 따는법메일 자동전달·메일주소 변경 안내 신청을 받을 예정이다.이용자의 자료 저장과 이메일 이전을 지원하기 위해서다.

천리안은 8월 1일 천리안 기본료도 무료로 전환한다.9월 1일에는 문자메시지(SMS),바카라 따는법뉴스(동영상),바카라 따는법인물·운세 등 부가 서비스를 종료한다.캐시 환불 작업도 함께 진행한다.10월 1일부터는 천리안 메일 수·발신을 중지하고 같은 달 말일인 31일 서비스를 완전히 종료한다.

천리안은 LG유플러스의 전신인 한국데이터통신(데이콤)이 1985년 국내 처음으로 선보인 PC 통신이다.PC 통신은 전화선을 모뎀에 꽂아 접속해 인터넷에 연결하는 방식이다.천리안과 PC 통신 시대를 이끈 하이텔과 나누우리는 각각 2007년과 2012년 서비스를 중단했다.
