지적장애를 앓는 주차관리인에게 살인을 교사한 40대 남성이 1심에서 징역 27년을 선고받자 검찰이 항소했다.

15일 서울남부지검 공판부(부장검사 최선경)는 살인 교사 등 혐의로 구속기소 된 조모씨(45)에 대한 1심 판결에 항소를 제기했다고 밝혔다.

조씨는 김모씨(33)에게 주차장 관리를 맡기면서 임금을 지급하지 않는 등 7000만 원 상당의 돈을 편취하고,맥 알리스터김씨에게 자신과 임대차 및 재개발 관련 분쟁 중인 80대 건물주를 살해하도록 시킨 혐의를 받는다.

검찰은 "조씨가 자신을 가족처럼 신뢰하는 지적장애인을 교사해 고령의 피해자를 잔혹하게 살해했음에도 범행을 전면 부인하며 반성하지 않았고 유족들이 엄벌을 탄원하는 점 등을 고려할 때 더 중한 처벌이 필요하다"고 항소 이유를 밝혔다.
