카카오가 'AI native company'를 주제로 사내 해커톤 '2024 24K'를 진행한다.ⓒ카카오[데일리안 = 이주은 기자] 카카오는 AI(인공지능) 관련 아이디어를 자유롭게 주고받을 수 있는 사내 해커톤‘2024 24K’를 진행한다고 27일 밝혔다.

행사는 카카오 AI 캠퍼스에서 이날부터 1박 2일 동안 열린다.카카오가‘AI native company’로 거듭날 수 있도록 다양한 아이디어를 자유롭게 제시하고 구현하는 과정으로 준비했다.

카카오의 사내 해커톤은 지난 2013년 처음 시작해 6회째 맞는 행사다.'해킹'과 '마라톤'의 합성어로 개발자와 서비스 기획자들이 모여 특정 주제를 해결해 나가는 과정을 의미한다‘24K’는 24 hours for Krew (크루를 위한 24시간)의 줄임말로 개발,기레순스포르 경기디자인,기레순스포르 경기기획 등 다양한 직군의 직원들이 개인 또는 팀으로 참여해 각자의 아이디어를 프로토타입(시제품)으로 구현한다.

이번 행사에는 50개 팀 170여명이 참가했다.예선 및 본선 심사를 거쳐 본상 수상팀을 선정한다.

정규돈 카카오 CTO(최고기술책임자)는 “이번 24K는 특정 분야에 구애받지 않고 AI와 관련된 창의적인 아이디어를 제시하고 실체화할 수 있도록 기획했다”며 “AI 캠퍼스라는 의미 있는 공간에서 잠시 업무에서 벗어나 개발의 즐거움을 느끼고 직원들과 소통하는 장이 되길 바란다” 고 말했다.
