[헤럴드경제=김빛나 기자] 미 대선이 4개월여 앞으로 다가온 가운데 유권자 사이에서 경제 분야에서는 도널드 트럼프 전 대통령이,합법적 도박사이트민주주의 가치라는 측면에서는 조 바이든 대통령이 각각 더 적합하다는 평가를 받는 것으로 나타났다.

로이터 통신과 여론조사기관 입소스가 지난 21∼23일 미국 등록 유권자 856명을 대상으로 여론조사를 실시한 결과,합법적 도박사이트응답자의 43%가 트럼프 전 대통령이 경제 문제에 관해 더 나은 접근 방식을 갖고 있다고 답변했다.

반면 바이든 대통령을 꼽은 응답자는 37%에 그쳤다.

이러한 결과는 물가 고공 행진으로 유권자들의 생활이 팍팍해진 데 따른 것으로 분석된다.

최근 몇 달 동안 인플레이션이 상당히 둔화하고 실업률이 2년 이상 4% 미만을 유지하고 있지만,합법적 도박사이트유권자들은 수년 동안 빠르게 상승하는 소비자 물가로 인해 어려움을 겪어왔다고 로이터는 짚었다.

의료 정책에 있어선 바이든 전 대통령(40%)이 더 낫다는 평가가 트럼프 전 대통령(29%)보다 많았다.

외교 분쟁과 테러 대응에 관해선 트럼프 전 대통령(40%)이 바이든 대통령(35%)보다 우세한 평가를 받았다.

이 기간 등록 유권자를 포함한 미국 성인 1천19명을 대상으로 조사한 결과,합법적 도박사이트바이든 대통령의 국정 지지도는 37%로,합법적 도박사이트지난 달 조사(36%)보다 1%포인트 상승한 것으로 나타났다.
