경남 거제시는 지역 내 돌봄노동자의 노동환경과 특성을 파악해 정책적 지원 방안을 찾기 위한 첫 실태조사를 시작한다고 17일 밝혔다.

연구용역은‘거제시 돌봄노동자 권리보장 및 처우개선에 관한 조례’에 근거해 추진되었으며 오는 11월까지 6개월간 용역이 진행된다.

용역에서는 거제시에서 활동하는 장기 요양 종사자,자갈로 월드컵장애인활동지원,자갈로 월드컵아이돌보미의 처우 개선과 지위 향상을 위한 일반 현황,자갈로 월드컵보수 체계,자갈로 월드컵근무 여건,자갈로 월드컵건강·안전·인권,직무 만족도 등 실태조사를 한다.

박종우 시장은 "돌봄 노동자는 복지정책의 최일선에 계신 분들로 이번 용역을 통해 돌봄노동자의 처우 개선과 향후 과제 발굴을 돕고 더 나은 복지 서비스 제공을 위한 정책 수립에 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
